“Allerhand in die deutschen Ecke"

a collection of the articles PJB Reimer wrote for his German-language news column in The Scratching River Post in Morris, MB, as newspaper clippings and photocopied. [Translated as: All manner of things in the German corner.]

photocopy of a transcribed diary that does not name its author or its transcriber. It begins in Rosenfeld, Borozenko Colony, Russia. [It was likely written by a member of PJB Reimer’s family before he or she emigrated to Canada: Klaas Reimer and Martin Barkman are mentioned, and others]

“Fairy Lore Reflections”

a notebook with one poem by PJB Reimer and two accounts of the teaching opportunities that were offered to him—from Greenbank to Meade, KS, to MCI in Gretna to Rosthern, SK, and Grunthal, MB. He accepted the offer to teach high school in Grunthal, where he indicates that he “enjoyed that new position very much, because it was interesting, challenging, and appreciated by the people of Grunthal.”

“Historical Notes on the EMC”, and “The Holdeman Mennonites”

this file begins with one page of detailed notes “Kleine Gemeinde background” and about John Holdeman with much pertinent information; some articles PJB Reimer wrote for his “Historical Notes” column; also includes a collection of notes about EMC bishops and ministers, a tally sheet of votes in an election of deacons, 1918, another collection of notes about individuals (bishops, ministers, and others), and an envelope inscribed as “Etwas uber Schulle aus die Kleine Gemeinde der Einwanderung aus Russland.
