Written on the photograph cover: "This picture was taken in 1926 or 1927 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Millar, RR4, Kitchener (3 miles west of City Hall Kitchener on #7 Highway). Mrs. Fred Millar is the former Ida Bergey. These are her aunts and 1 uncle. The front row are hte son and daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Bowman "Preacher Mose." The back row - Elizabeth Bergey is a sister of David Bergey, Ida's father. Moses Bowman - a son of Preacher Mose is dead. His wife (2nd) is the second one in the back row. Mrs. David Bergey (Louisa Bowman) is absent. Also absent is Ezra Bowman who lived in Missouri, USA. Melina Bowman and Ida Bergey entertained their aunts and uncle on this occasion."
