This fonds consists of educational materials created and used by Abram P. Bueckert as well as a large scale composite photograph that includes Bueckert when he served in one of the Mennonite alternative service forestry camp.

Chernol'skaya Forestry Service 1912-1914

This photo is a composite picture of 158 men, most of whom are young Mennonite men who performed alternative service at the forestry camp in the Krivoy Rog region. The leader is a Russian man, the two leaders below him are Mennonites by the name of D.G. Klassen (with the big beard) and P.K. Heidebrecht. Abraham Bueckert is pictured second row from the bottom, third from the left with a moustache.

Russian money and promisary notes

In October 1924 Abraham's father, Peter Bueckert died. Abram's eldest brother Johann Bueckert returned to Russia to close their father's estate. He returned with a large amount of Russian money and promissory notes. The two small bills (20 and 40 rubles) and the large torn bill (250 rubles) are currency. The larger pieces are promissory notes in the amounts of 3, 5,10, 250, and 500 rubles.
