Two children, probably in their early teens, stand behind them, each resting a hand on the shoulder of the adult in front of them. On the back of the photograph is written "Ben and Katherine Hildebrandt with Tina and Henry Remple (foster children)".

A note at the back of the original photo says it was taken 1/2 mile north of the junction of #3 and #14 in Manitoba.The family members and their dates of birth are identified as follows left to right: Nettie, Katherine, Abe, Susie, Katherine, Mary, Henry H., and Henry.
