Clayton Beyler was born in Harper, Kansas in 1918.  He was ordained to the ministry in 1944 and served with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in India and China in the mid 1940s.

Clayton was Dean of Instruction of Hesston College (Kansas). He died of a heart attack in 1973 at the age of 55.
