This photo is of Polish children riding on a cart pulled by a horse. On the right side is a ditch from the mill. They are riding along the path on the embankment of this dike. There are some trees on the right side of the photo. A few transmission towers are on the left side of the photo.

This photo is of a woman sitting in an open one-horse carriage which is standing in front of a long, low building. There are a few trees at intervals in front of the building. The horse and carriage are standing on a flat and empty yard. The property belongs to Charlotte Wiebe's uncle, Mr. Harder.

This photo is of a four-horse team pulling a wagon. Walter Wiebe is riding a horse on the right side, immediately in front of the wagon. They are riding along a dirt road. One tree can be seen on the left side of the photo and a partial tree can be seen on the right side. There is grass on either side of the road. This team of horses shows how farm work was done at that time.

Home (estate) of a Mennonite Elder in South Russia

The printing under this photo states that it is the home of a Mennonite elder in south Russia. On the street in the foreground a number of people sit in a carriage drawn by two white horses. One man stands behind it. A fence runs along the edge of the street. Two imposing archways are located along the fence. Two groups of people are standing in front of the fence near the archways. A row of trees grow just inside the fence and part of a brick house peeks out between the trees. A white shuttered window can be seen. Another house can be seen at the extreme left hand edge of the picture. Taken from P.M. Friesen, p. 679 (850).

Horses hitched to wagon in winter

A grainy picture of a team of horses hitched to a plow in winter. Everything is covered with snow. A Mennonite style home and shed are in the background with a fence running in front of the buildings. An unidentifiable man is to the left of the horses and what appears to be a pile of logs are in front of the man and the horses.
