A street in Palermo, Sicily

This is a photo of a man and lady on the sidewalk, posing beside a cart being pulled by an unidentified beast of burden, perhaps a colt or a donkey. There are four young boys standing on the platform of the cart and another boy proudly sitting on the front edge. The man, wearing a hat, looks like Arthur Slagel. The lady is smartly dressed, wearing a hat. She is probably one of the Near East Relief workers who traveled with them.
