Hauling feed in France

This is a photo of a high pile of hay (animal feed), with some kind of cover on top, being hauled down a tree lined rural road in France. There is a man seated in the bottom of the wagon holding the reins. (Animals pulling the wagon cannot be seen.)

This is a photo of a hay field with trees in the background. Two large white tents are beneath the trees. On the right of the photo are a horse, grazing, a wagon and several piles of hay. In the book "Personal Diary of Peter Neufeld 1917 - 1918 this photo is described as a hay meadow near Engen rented by Warketin-Voth-Neufeld.
