History
Born in Manchester, England, Denton began his photography career at age 16. He traveled around the world, and established a photography business in New Zealand in the early 1900s. It is believed that Ernest and his brother Samuel established Denton Brothers Photography in Berlin (Kitchener) in 1913. He owned one of the first panoramic cameras in Canada. From 1924-1925, he ran a studio, Denton & Gifford, in partnership with another photographer. Following this venture, he ran a studio on his own.
