This collection of photos is taken at the event where the cairn celebrating the 75th anniversary of Mennonite community in the Altona and Gretna area of Manitoba is unveiled. The cairn is situated at the corner of Provincial road 243 (a portion of which is the former Post Road) and provincial highway 30, one mile north of Gretna, on the corner of a yard once owned by David Schellenberg of Neuanlage. This corner has become to be known as "cairn corner" because of other monuments added to this site including the Heinrich Wiebe headstone [1974?], David Schellenberg headstone, and a Post Road sign and lectern (2000).
