Anna Wall passed away peacefully at Radiant Care Tabor Manor (St. Catharines, Ontario) on Monday, January 1, 2024, a week after her 102nd birthday. She was born 25 Dec 1921 in Schoensee, Molotschna to Abraham Wall and Helena (Bartels) Wall. She came to Canada in 1926 and lived with her parents in Hespeler (near Kitchener) for many years. Later she lived with her sister Katherine who also never married. Their family was active in the Hespeler Mennonite Brethren Church until it closed in 1953. Their uncle Jacob Bartels was the minister there. The family continued to be active at the Kitchener Mennonite Brethren Church after Hespleler closed.
Archival history
Alf Redekopp received the collection from his wife's cousin, Helen Griebling. Helen Griebling was a grand niece of Anna Wall's and she assisted in the disposal of her final affects.
