Biographical history

Reesor was a member of Wideman Mennonite Church, and a conscientious objector during the Second World War, serving at Montreal River from November 1941 to March 1942 . He later married, had five children, and farmed near Markham, Ontario.

Donated to the Archives in 2016 and 2020 by Martha Schatti, Marvin Reesor, Harold Reesor and Marylou deBruyn

This file consists of photographs from Lewis Reesor's time at the Montreal River Alternative Service Work Camp in northern Ontario. Reesor was in Group 4, which served from 25 Nov 1941-24 Mar 1942. This group overlapped with Group 5, which served from 9 Dec 1941-11 Jul 1942.
