Wiens, Delbert Leroy, 1931-

Delbert L. Wiens was one of the first Mennonite Central Committee relief workers to serve in Vietnam. He worked there from 1954 to 1956. A member of the U.S. Mennonite Brethren Church, he went on to serve as professor of humanities at Fresno Pacific University.

Graduated from Bethel College 1940. Graduated from Mennonite Biblical Seminary 1950, master's in religious education.

Camp director in Civilian Public Service. Served with Mennonite Central Committee in Europe, postwar reconstruction.

Fund raising and development at Bethel College, 1946-1960, 1963-1966. Executive secretary of General Conference Mennonite Church, 1960-1963.
