Farm account book 1921-1931 plus some additional financial records.

This account book documents debts to and work performed by Andrew Stemen, a Mennonite farmer and cobbler in Ohio.  It also includes congregational accounts for building maintenance and the purchase of wine, Bibles, tubs, and other church supplies.

Consists of Cornelius Voth's "Ein Schreibe Buch" which was continued by his son-in-law Peter Balzer.

The first two pages have recipes for remedies for stomach ache, the plague, etc. written by Peter Balzer.

Next is a 17 page family history section.

Pages 1, 2, and 3 are more remedies for illneses.

Up to p. 203 is miscellaneous poems, songs, speeches, sermons, etc.

Then several blank pages.

Page 233 starts a diary followed by accounts of what he borrowed from various people.

7) Unruh, Nic. , A play written for 11 actors and several farmers and soldiers, . "Uht Biwejdi Tiet" ( Aus bewegter Zeit) , has 4 acts; written in Low German dialect, 20 pages. A notebook in German script that served as both an account book and a record of deaths.  Inside the notebook is a partially-completed birth certificate for a Rebecca König born in Fairfield County, Ohio, and an 1886 letter discussing financial matters.
