Martin F. Sawatzky, 1937 - 2013, hat sie wohl zusammen mit einer Reihe anderen Predigten von seinem Schwiegervater Jacob B. Giesbrecht, 1914 - 1997, (ein Prediger) geerbt, nachdem ersterer gestorben war. Eine Enkelin von M. F. S. fand die Predigten unter seinen Schulbüchern und brachte sie ca. 2016 dem Geschichtsarchiv der Kolonie Menno.

Das Original ist in deutscher Sprache aber in gotischer Handschrift geschrieben, wurde aber beim Geschichtsarchiv der Kolonie Menno abgeschrieben, sodass es heute auch in normaler Druckschrift vorhanden ist.
