Bender to Ernst Crous, March 9, 1951: grateful for yours of February 26 [not extant here] and the supplements and corrections, and some new articles, for Mennonitisches Lexikon; had not yet received Number 37--could you have one air mailed via Paul Peachey? had just gotten the letter you mentioned from Pastor von Hase--agreed he seemed to have enjoyed his visit here; Bender’s summer schedule--from June 19 to July 13 World Conference Program Committee at Basel, French Nonresistance Meeting at Valdoie; German Mennonite Theology Study Conference at Thomashof, Peace Seminar and Friedewald, and Historic Peace Churches Peace Meeting at Heerewegen; more on his travel itinerary, wanting a meeting of the Täufer-Akten Kommission [TAK] probably at Heidelberg at home of Professor Bornkamm [Heinrich Bornkamm]; Brother Wiens had stopped at Goshen--hoped the $15,000 goal “for West Prussian ministerial work” would be reached; Elizabeth [Elizabeth Bender, Elizabeth Horsch Bender] would write to Rose Crous--sorry to hear of Rose’s illness.
