Originally the photo was just labelled with the first names of the children (Petra, Hanscha, Lena). Dr. Henry D. Wiebe later annotated that they would have been know by their parents from the time that they lived at Wodjana near Herzenberg and could be either Hiebert or Eckert children (see note of reverse of photo). -- AHR
