Hoffnungsfeld, hotel under construction.

The photo shows the hotel in Hoffnungsfeld under construction. The frame is made of logs, the thatching of the roof is in progress as evidenced by the crude ladders leading up to the roof. The workers are gathered in an area to the left of the hotel, [possibly taking a break from the work]. There is a barrel on the left [probably containing water for the workers]. The hotel is surrounded by the Chaco bush.

The photo shows the hotel in Hoffnungsfeld under construction. This is the same hotel as in photo BK3-127. The hotel is framed with logs and the thatching on the roof is partially completed. There are several workers on the left side of the photo. A large cleared area in the foreground has tree stumps scattered around.

The photo shows the construction of the administration building in Hoffnungsfeld. This building which is in the center of the photo shows several workers putting the thatch on the roof. All three buildings are framed with logs, the one on the right appears almost complete, the one on the left has the frame only.

The photo shows a barn in Hoffnungsfeld under construction. There are at least eight people and possibly a child working with thatch which will probably be [used on the roof]. There is a barbed wire fence on the left and several buildings in the distance.

The photo shows the road going from Hoffnungsfeld to Km 145. [The embankment and bridge goes through a low lying wet area.] A man is standing on top of the bridge which has been framed and constructed with logs. There is a log and barbed wire fence running along the edge of the road near the embankment.
