The photo shows the Indians store in Hoffnungsfeld. Nine men are gathered in front of the store and a row of wagons pulled by teams of oxen are stopped on the road leading to the store. The planted area in the foreground is surrounded by a log and barbed wire fence with a water filled trench running past it. Other buildings can be seen in the background.
