The photo shows the log framed chicken coop enclosed by chicken wire and corrugated metal sheeting in Hoffnungsfeld. Most of the chickens are outside of the coop. The woman in the picture appears to be scattering feed. The area is enclosed by a high barbed wire and chicken wire fence. There is a large structure, possibly tent-like, in the background under the trees.

The photo shows the hotel in Hoffnungsfeld under construction. This is the same hotel as in photo BK3-127. The hotel is framed with logs and the thatching on the roof is partially completed. There are several workers on the left side of the photo. A large cleared area in the foreground has tree stumps scattered around.
