History
The congregation began services in 1956, and formally organized in 1961. The first building was occupied in 1959, with a subsequent building program in 1966. The congregation was first called North Hill Mennonite Mission. It was renamed Foothills Mennonite in 1966 when a new church building was constructed. The membership was 106 in 1966. In the late 1970s the congregation decided to begin another Mennonite congregation in Calgary. From this effort the Calgary Mennonite Fellowship emerged in 1978. In 1979 the membership was 225. In 1989 the membership was 274 and was the same in 2000.
