CMC Annual Sessions, Gretna - Cairn dedication

Peter J. Hamm (left) of Hochstadt and Ken Funk (right) of Winnipeg. Peter J. Hamm lived in Hochstadt all his life, and Ken Funk is a direct descendant of Peter Regier, founder of the Rosenorter Mennonite Church at Rosthern. The cairn and plaque recall the coming of the first Mennonites to Hochstadt area in 1876 and the first session of the Conference of Mennonites in Canada which occured here in 1903.
