Thomas Greenway yard and environs

This photo is of an etching of the Prairie Home Stock Farm owned by Thomas Greenway in the Crystal City area of Manitoba. He was Manitoba's 7th premier, serving from 1888-1900. Depicted are two large barns with windmills attached or adjacent to the buildings. These windmills structures are likely made of metal, not wood. The mill on the right appears to be a vaneless mill. These mills were usually used for pumping water. A street with other houses and yards can be seen . In the background are large piles or stooks of grain, carefully made for drying. Gently rolling hills and other yards are further in the background.
