Biographical history

Born 8 April 1883 near Buhler, Kansas. Parents Johann Voth and Helena Nachtigal Voth.

Baptized 1903 at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church.

Attended Reno County Teachers Institute at Nickerson, Kansas, and taught grade school for 3 years.

Married Elizabeth Sperling, 7 November 1907.

Lived in western Kansas near Syracuse (Hamilton County) and Plains (Meade County or Seward County) 1908-1915. Then moved back to Hoffnungsau community.

Elected minister at Hoffnungsau 10 December 1922.

Retired from farming and moved to Buhler in 1950.

Died in auto accident 24 March 1971.
