Biographical history

Peter S. Wiebe (1888-1970), Minister and Aeltester, Chortitzer Mennonite Church of Manitoba, was born to Johann D. Wiebe and Barbara Peters. On November 26, 1916 Peter married Justina Dueck (1896-1967) and together they had at least one child. For a time he taught in the German school in Chortitz near Steinbach, Manitoba. Peter was elected as Aeltester on March 16, 1932, a position he held that position until his retirement in 1962 or 1968.

Archival history

The sermon was passed on to his daughter Justina Funk. Delbert Plett photocopied the sermon and donated the copy to the archives.
