Steegen Cemetery

This is a photo of the bottom part of a wooden cross with a shield attached to it at the Steegen Cemetery. Most of the writing on the shield is illegible, but the date "13. III. 1945" and the German words for "mourned and never forgotten" can be seen. The cemetery is overgrown with grass and trees.
