Administrative history

The church first was known as the Elmwood Bethel Mennonite Church and located at 384 Talbot Ave., Winnipeg, Co-ordinates 49.906944 -97.107778 (1961). The Church changed its name to Burrows Bethel Mennonite Church when it moved to Burrows ave and was located at 290 Charles St., Winnipeg, Co-ordinates 49.945556 -97.134444 (corner of Burrows and Charles)(1973). In 1996 the congregation re-located for the last time, sharing a building with the Gordon King Memorial United Church (127 Cobourg Avenue, Winnipeg) till 1997 when the church decided to close.

Archival history

The majority of the material in this fonds were deposited by the church through Garry Dyck, the last congregational chairperson of Burrows Community Church (Mennonite) in October 1997.
