The Nydegg Bridge in Berne over the Aare River from where many of the early Anabaptists were drowned

No. 6a in a set of numbered photos from the 6th Mennonite World Conference held in 1957 in Karlsruhe, Germany. Used in CM 5-34-4. The Nydegg Bridge in Berne over the Aare River from where many of the early Anabaptists were drowned. Where the truck appears on the bridge in the photo, they were lowered into the river in a wickerbasket and thus had to pay for their faith. One of the places visited by those attending the 6th MWC.
