This is a photo of a man riding a farm implement which is being pulled by two horses. One ox is standing beside each horse. There is a reluctant young boy posing beside one of the oxen and a man in front of the other ox. Arthur Slagel describes the scene as "going to the field". This picture appears in Die Hungersnot in Russland, by D.M. Hofer. Here the place is identified as Alexandertal and the man is H. Goossen.
