Biographical history

Abraham Peter Regier: pioneer and businessman; born 18 Feb. 1895 in Chortitza, South Russia, to Peter and Katharina Regier. In1920 he married Margarethe Kroeger. They had nine children, three sons and six daughters. The Regiers immigrated to Alberta in 1923 and moved to the Niagara Peninsula in 1943. He was a founding members of the Niagara Township Credit Union Ltd.

Biographical history

The daughter of David and Margareta (Krahn) Kroeger, Margarethe married Abraham P. Regier in 1920. Her family were makers of the famous “Mennonite” Kroeger wall clocks in Ukraine. Abraham and Margarethe had nine children. The couple immigrated to Canada, settling first in Alberta in 1923, and in the Niagara Peninsula in 1943.
